Begin your journey of creativity and innovation with our Digital Design program, with a concentration in Web Design. From learning the essentials of digital design to mastering advanced techniques and, you'll develop the hands-on skills needed to thrive in today's dynamic creative industries, including:
Define and Scope Projects: Learn to research, identify and assess project requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project scope before diving into digital design.
Design with Purpose: Conceptualize and refine human-centered digital design solutions that resonate with users, ensuring designs are not only visually compelling but also functionally intuitive.
- Responsive Design: Learn to design and develop websites that are fully responsive, ensuring optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
- UX/UI Design Principles: Apply user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly web interfaces.
Master HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Develop a deep understanding and proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create and style interactive and visually appealing websites.
Optimized and Accessible Web Development: Learn to design and build websites that are accessible to all users, perform efficiently and leverage modern web development frameworks for enhanced functionality.
Critically Evaluate and Communicate: Develop the ability to critically evaluate digital design decisions and effectively communicate the rationale behind them, fostering clarity and alignment within project teams.

Advanced Credit
You may apply for advanced credit once you have been accepted into the program. Advanced credit can be Transfer Credit (for completed post-secondary courses) or PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition).
Transfer Credit
In addition to the common guidelines outlined on the Transfer and Credit Options section, your program has other advanced credit requirements that are applied to each request including:
- You must have completed the course or program no more than 3 year(s) ago unless a formalized articulation agreement is in place
- You must have a minimum mark of A- in the course(s) or program

International Applicants
This program accepts international students.
PGWP Eligibility
Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), following Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requirements. Students must still meet all other PGWP eligibility requirements, including full-time and in-person study requirements.
Co-Op Work Permit
Optional Co-op: Students in this program can choose to move into a co-op pathway, which includes a mandatory co-op work practicum. International students who plan to participate in this option must apply for a co-op work permit and get approval before starting the work placement.
