Course Overview

Gain valuable knowledge of the Kraft process to pursue employment in a Kraft pulp mill. Learn about commonly used processes in the worldwide pulp and paper industry. Through intensive study of seven concentrated modules, highly focused technical knowledge and practical skills will provide a deeper understanding of the Kraft pulping process. The skills obtained in this course will allow you to apply those practical skills and technical knowledge to broaden your employment opportunities as a technician in the industry.

Prerequisites: PULP 200. Successful completion of PULP200 is required before enrollment into PULP 300.

  • Hyflex: Where: Choice to attend in-person or online meetings. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. For each class, students choose to attend in-person with the instructor or online at a specific time.
  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.

  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
