Course Overview

Expand your practical knowledge of power engineering and get ready to challenge the Fifth Class Power Engineering provincial exam. Fifth Class power engineers often work in small commercial plants such as shopping malls and office buildings. Prepare yourself for this exam by exploring a variety of topics and techniques: mathematics, mechanics, thermodynamics, welding, plumbing, and more. Protect your well-being and the well-being of others by delving into building safety and WHMIS.

With the skills that you gain from this course, you will be able to describe high- and low-pressure boilers, basic heating and refrigeration systems, and air compressors and auxiliary equipment controls.

Recommended: 50% or better in Grade 10 English, Math and Science.
