Lockers must be paid for online at the time of booking. If you do not have a credit card, the one AT NAIT office can take payment with debit or funds loaded on your one AT NAIT card. We do not accept cash. Payments for lockers are NOT accepted at the Student Service Centre.

If you wish to change to another locker, you may do so for a fee of $5.

New for Fall 2020: Students at Souch, Patricia and Parkwest Campus are now able to rent a locker online.

Click on the "Combination" link from your homepage anytime during your rental period to retrieve your combination.

Yes, but you must contact one AT NAIT prior to removing the NAIT provided lock.

Please report any damage to the one AT NAIT office. If you need to switch to another locker due to the damage, please ask a one AT NAIT staff member to change your locker to avoid the $5 Locker Change Fee.

If your lock is malfunctioning, please contact one AT NAIT. We will provide you with a new lock.

If you do not remove your locker contents by your locker rental expiry date, your items will be held for up to a maximum of 30 days, after which time the contents will be disposed of. For sanitary reasons, clothing and perishable items will be disposed of immediately. You will be required to pay $25 to retrieve your belongings.

Please leave the NAIT provided lock on the locker. If the lock is removed, there will be a $25 fee.

If your rental is for 2 terms (September - April) or you have renewed your fall term rental for the winter term, then there is no need to empty your contents during NAIT's winter closure. Please just ensure you don't leave any perishable items in your locker over the break.

Yes. Due to high utilization rates, you may only rent 1 locker in CAT, V and X Buildings and at the satellite campuses. You may rent additional lockers in other buildings, but you must visit the one AT NAIT office in the South Lobby, Room O112 to do so.

The Smoke- and Smokeless Tobacco-Free Campus Policy prohibits smoking, including electronic cigarettes, and chewing tobacco (and similar products) in NAIT owned and leased facilities, on the grounds and in NAIT vehicles, as well as in all vehicles on NAIT property.

The Smoke- and Smokeless Tobacco-Free Campus Policy came into effect May 1, 2015. The original Smoke-Free Campus Policy came into effect July 1, 2009.

NAIT’s Executive Committee approved the policy on April 15, 2015. 

The new policy was drafted following a review of the former Smoke Free Campus Policy, led by the executive director of Human Resources and the Department of Health and Safety Services. 

From September 2014 to February 2015, Health and Safety Services consulted with NAITSA, NASA, AUPE and departments across the polytechnic, as well as other post-secondary institutes and organizations prior to making its recommendation to expand the policy. 

The Administrative Policy Committee provided oversight, coordination and review of the new policy and recommended it to Executive Committee for approval.

NAIT made the decision out of a desire for clean air and facilities and a healthy and safe environment for students, staff, contractors, visitors and members of the public.

An electronic cigarette is a battery-operated device used to heat a liquid solution, producing a visible vapour emission that is inhaled by the user. The device may or may not contain nicotine.

Smokeless tobacco refers to chewing tobacco and similar products, such as snuff.

Spiritual, ceremonial and religious activities, such as pipe ceremonies and smudges, may be exempt from the restrictions on smoking and smokeless tobacco with prior approval. No. Smoking and smokeless tobacco is not allowed inside vehicles while parked on NAIT property.

Details surrounding the Smoke- and Smokeless Tobacco-Free Campus Policy are available to students and staff in many ways, including on the smoke-free campus website, signage, the Campus Community, the MyNAIT Portal and internal display screens.

Health and Safety Services is committed to supporting staff and students who wish to stop smoking and/or using smokeless tobacco products. Visit a Health Services office to speak with a nurse.

Peace officers from Protective Services are responsible for enforcing the Smoke- and Smokeless Tobacco-Free Campus Policy.

NAITSA is the Students' Association for NAIT students. NAITSA provides a wide variety of resources to support students in their personal, academic and professional lives. This includes keeping students informed, entertained, and making sure they stay happy and healthy without breaking their budget.

Students with comparable coverage can opt out of the student health and dental plan. For more information, deadlines, and how to process your request, please visit My Student Plan or contact studentplans@nait.ca. Please note that Alberta Health Care or Covenant Health are not comparable coverages.

MyNAIT portal (nait.ca/mynait) is where you will find information about your application, class schedule, payment and fees, grades, scholarships, transcripts, and more! You can manage these aspects through MyNAIT Self Service options.

If you’re new to NAIT, you will need to create a MyNAIT portal account. Your NAIT Student ID Number is required to create an account:

• if you applied to a degree, diploma or certificate program, this ID was emailed to you after applying.
• if you’re an apprenticeship student and applied through MyTradesecrets (MTS), this ID was listed on your screen when registering.

Once you have your NAIT Student ID Number, use this ID to sign up for a MyNAIT account. After you have created an account, you can use the Self Service Guide to learn how to manage aspects of your NAIT account.

If you’re unsure of your NAIT Student ID Number, please contact the Student Service Centre.

When resetting your information, please select the reset option “Forgot your username/password” located below the “IMPORTANT” header on the sign in page.  If your contact information has changed, and you cannot access the verification code, please contact the Student Service Centre by phone or chat for assistance.   

Don’t worry – the NAIT Student Orientation is always available on the MyNAIT portal and is a great way to get yourself orientated and understand how to make the most of your time at NAIT. You can find other links to books and supplies, library, and technology services in the Academic Support section of the portal.

NAIT is not currently offering in-person campus tours.  You can explore the campus virtually, including classroom, labs and common area locations, using the interactive Campus Map tool. Please choose your campus and location before selecting Open Virtual Tour. You can find additional links to parking, rentals, and bicycle storage in the On Campus section of the MyNAIT portal.

Keeping our community healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic is NAIT’s highest priority. Student recreation programs are currently offered virtually. Current students can access recreation programming by logging in to the MyNAIT Student Portal.

The NAIT community has many resources and organizations available to students. For more information on student groups, student clubs and campus organizations, please sign into the MyNAIT portal and select Clubs, Groups and Community.

Academic advisors are available to help you with your long-term professional goals, provide feedback on a resume, prepare for a job interview and help you with job-search strategies. NAIT students and alumni can connect with a career advisor for these services. Appointments can be booked online through the MyNAIT portal by selecting academic supports, then academic advising.
