New Media and Information Technology Programs 

NAIT continues to look for the best ways we can evolve our programs to ensure that we are responding to the changing needs of learners and industry.  The Digital Media and IT (DMIT) programs continue to provide learners with the skills and training they need to be successful in our ever-changing economy.  

This evolution will allow us to provide more accurate descriptions of the programs to applicants, improve clarity in career paths for graduates, and offer clarity to industry about the specific skills our graduates possess.  

Consultation with school leadership, DMIT students, NAITSA, NAIT academic council and industry partners have informed this evolution, and we strongly believe this aligns students to clearer pathways for their future careers.  

NAIT is committed to supporting DMIT students and we will continue to offer the current DMIT courses for the next four years. Students will have until June 30, 2029 to complete their program. However, course options will be reduced after the 2024-2025 academic year, as this is a 2-year diploma.
